Amaya Uriarte's PhD on bluefin tuna larvae trophic ecology
On 16th March, the doctoral graduate Amaya Uriarte Ramalho did her Doctoral presentation and defense her on “THE TROPHIC ECOLOGY OF ATLANTIC BLUEFIN TUNA (Thunnus thynnus L.1758)”, in the Graduate Hall of the Faculty of Sea Science and Environment of the University of Cádiz (CASEM). The thesis was co-directed by Dr. Alberto García García and Dr. Raúl Laiz Carrión. The Thesis Tribunal awarded the doctoral thesis with the maximum qualification, Excellent Cum Laude. The thesis was undertaken in the Centro Oceanográfico de Málaga (Oceanographic Center of Málaga) of Instituto Español de Oceanografía (Spanish Institute of Oceanography) thanks to a pre-doctoral scholarship for the Formation of Marine Research, FPI-IEO 2011/03 within the Research Project ECOLATUN CTM2015-68473-R (MINECO/FEDER) and BLUEFIN.
